Computer and printer provided to Olani temporary police post in Kailali
Dhangadhi: The Olani Temporary Police Post in Godavari Municipality Ward No. 12, Kailali, has received a computer and printer to enhance its service delivery.
The support was provided by Helping Hands, a group formed by Nepali youths working in Croatia. The equipment was handed over to the police post during a program held on Sunday.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ran Bahadur Chand of the Malakheti Area Police Office said the new equipment would make police services more efficient and help connect the police force with technology. He commended the youths for fulfilling both their family and social responsibilities while living abroad.
Similarly, Ward Chairman of Godavari Municipality-12, Bhim Bahadur Khadka, expressed that others should take inspiration from the youths working in Croatia, who have contributed to the community by reducing their own expenses. He added that the municipality is also working to address the shortage of land and infrastructure for the police post.
Former Godavari VDC President Bhan Singh Bik said that Nepali youths living in India and other countries should also come forward to contribute to the development of their communities, as the Helping Hands group has done. He emphasized the need for joint efforts to secure land for the temporary police post.
At the event, Krishna Bik, President of the Godavari Drinking Water and Sanitation Consumers Committee, said that the computer support would help connect the police with technology and strengthen relationships between the police and locals.
The handover program was attended by Ward Chairman of Godavari-10 Ravindra Shahi, Ward Chairman of Godavari-11 Prem Singh Badaila, ward member Kumar Badaila, Chairman of Godavari Agricultural Cooperative Organization Krishna Bik, and other local representatives.
