Nearly 59,000 students from Far West sit for SEE examination

Dhangadhi: A total of 58,943 students from nine districts of the Far West Province have participated in this year's Secondary Education Examination (SEE), which commenced today.

According to the Directorate of Education Development, Dipayal, 30,877 girls and 28,066 boys are appearing for the exam. 43,923 students are enrolled in the general stream, 2,092 in the technical stream, and 12,928 students are taking the SEE under other categories, informed Director General Durga Dutta Bista.

To facilitate the examination, 226 centers have been designated across the province. Among them, Kailali has the highest number of 19,488 students across 54 centers. Similarly, Kanchanpur has 11,301 students in 37 centers, Baitadi has 5,362 students in 27 centers, Achham has 5,292 students in 26 centers, and Doti has 4,622 students in 15 centers.

Likewise, Bajhang has 4,644 students in 20 centers, Darchula has 3,377 students in 17 centers, Bajura has 3,318 students in 17 centers, and Dadeldhura has 2,802 students in 13 centers.

Bista emphasized that the examination is being conducted in a fair, fearless, and peaceful environment. The exam officially began at 8 AM today.
