13-Year-Old Boy Dies Due to Electrocution While Fishing in Kailali

Dhangadhi: In a tragic incident, 13-year-old Janarjan Pandey lost his life due to electrocution while fishing in Kailali.

Janarjan, son of Chandra Bahadur Pandey of Bhajani Municipality-3 Dhusi, was electrocuted when he attempted to use an electric wire from his house to fish in a nearby stream. According to the District Police Office, Kailali, the boy was electrocuted on the spot.

In a bid to save him, 18-year-old Parash Thagunna, a resident of the same area, was also injured. Thagunna is currently receiving treatment at Nisarga Hospital in Dhangadhi. The police are conducting a thorough investigation into the incident.
