This includes the acquisition of advanced machinery and the development of new roads and power lines. Key Developments and Investments: 1. Advanced Machinery and Equipment
- Road Cleaning: The sub-metropolitan city has purchased a road cleaning broomer for 95 lakhs, along with a portable booster with a pump. - Infrastructure Development: The city has acquired 8 tippers, 5 wheel loaders, 3 tractors, 2 water tanks, 1 ambulance, and other necessary equipment for infrastructure projects.
- Disaster Management: For emergency preparedness, two fire bikes and a portable booster with a pump have been put into operation. 2. Free Public Services: - Body Humidification Machines:
To aid families performing cremations according to their customs, the sub-metropolitan municipality offers free body humidification services. As of the end of Jesth, 63 deceased individuals have benefitted from this service.
3. Road and Power Line Construction: - Gravel Roads: A total of 10 km of new gravel roads have been constructed in various parts of Dhangadhi by the end of Jesth in the current financial year.
- Power Lines: The city has extended 17 km of power lines, improving electricity access for residents. - Drainage Infrastructure: Over the past year, 138 hump pipes, totaling 345 meters in length, have been installed on roads throughout the sub-city.
