Illegal Goods Seized in Kanchanpur and Baitadi; Two Arrested
Kanchanpur: A recent crackdown has led to the seizure of illegal goods in Kanchanpur and Kailali districts.
In Krishnapur Municipality-3 Dekhtabhuli, Kanchanpur, authorities intercepted and subsequently destroyed illegal boiler chickens valued at approximately 15,000 on Tuesday afternoon. The Kanchanpur police patrol team orchestrated the disposal of these goods, ensuring they were rendered unusable and abandoned.
Furthermore, in Dogdakedar Rural Municipality-7 Khochlek of Baitadi district, law enforcement officials intercepted a jeep on Monday night. The subsequent arrest of two jeep drivers and co-drivers ensued, alongside the confiscation of illicit goods estimated at a value of approximately 1.657 million. The intercepted items included bidis, chappals, and boleros, which were being smuggled into Nepal from India in a bolero jeep, circumventing customs regulations.
