Over 7,000 people receive eye treatment services in Kanchanpur
Kanchanpur: The Creative Savings and Credit Cooperative Organization in Shuklaphanta Municipality-10, Jhalari, has been providing eye treatment services for seven years as part of its social responsibility.
In collaboration with the Charity Health Foundation in Shuklaphanta Municipality, Dhangadhi, the center operates six days a week, offering eye care services to the public at concessional rates. According to Shivraj Bhatta, president of the cooperative, a total of 7,182 individuals benefited from the center’s services in the past year.
Among them, 641 financially disadvantaged cataract patients received free surgical treatment. The center provides a range of services, including eye examinations, medication, counseling, and the provision of spectacles.
Additionally, 3,327 people were served through eye camps conducted in all 12 wards of Shuklaphanta Municipality. Of those, 255 cataract patients underwent free surgery, and 723 individuals were provided with free spectacles during the camps.
