Tragic Fatality in Tipper Accident: Co-Driver Succumbs in Baitadi Mishap

Dhangadhi: A devastating accident in Baitadi claimed the life of the co-driver involved. The victim, identified as 19-year-old Rohit Dayal from Melauli Municipality-1 in the Sachchalak district, tragically lost his life in the tipper mishap.

Baitadi police reported that Rohit Dayal's lifeless body, crushed beneath the overturned tipper, has been recovered from the accident site. The District Police Office Baitadi has arranged for the body to undergo a post-mortem examination at the hospital.

The driver, 24-year-old Gambhir Tamta from Melauli-1, sustained minor injuries in the incident and is currently in police custody. Preliminary investigations suggest that the accident may have been caused by speeding uphill.

The tragic event unfolded on Thursday morning when the empty tipper with registration Sudurpaschim Pradesh 01001 K 2394, traveling from Melauli towards Patan, met with a mishap at Lamalek in Melauli. The tipper reportedly plunged 50 meters off the road near the zero point of the Lamalek Hatranga route.
