Dhangadhi: In a proactive response to the environmental concerns posed by plastic waste, law enforcement authorities in Attariya, Godavari municipality of Kailali, have seized plastic flower garlands and worship materials. The city police conducted operations at various locations within the Attariya market, resulting in the confiscation of approximately 2 sacks of plastic garlands and associated religious paraphernalia.

Assistant Inspector Mohandev Pant of the city police reported that the confiscation took place over the weekend, with two bags of plastic flower garlands removed from the market area. This action aligns with the municipal and local administration's joint effort to curb the sale and distribution of plastic flower garlands, a step taken to address the growing environmental impact of plastic waste.

The ban on plastic flower garlands is part of a broader initiative to promote eco-friendly practices and reduce the environmental footprint of non-biodegradable materials. Authorities remain committed to enforcing such measures to create a more sustainable and environmentally conscious community in Attariya and beyond.
