Tragedy Strikes Achham as One Person Succumbs, Another Injured by Hornet Sting

Achham: In a grievous incident in Achham, a hornet sting has claimed the life of one individual and left another injured. The unfortunate victim was identified as 3-year-old Shamir Jaishi from Pandeval Binayak Municipality-8, Barala, within the district. An 18-year-old, Radha Jaishi, residing in the same vicinity, also suffered a hornet sting.

The distressing episode unfolded on Wednesday when both individuals were stung by hornets while engaged in cutting grass near their residence. Shamir received initial treatment at the local health center in Barala, where medical professionals assessed his condition as stable. Tragically, despite the treatment, Shamir's condition deteriorated, and he passed away at his home. The Achham District Police Office has reported that the injured young girl, Radha Jaishi, was promptly transferred to the District Hospital Achham for more extensive medical intervention.
