Illegal Goods Seized in Kanchanpur: Law Enforcement Cracks Down

Kanchanpur: In a significant development, the police in Kanchanpur have successfully intercepted and seized illegal goods within the district. This operation has led to the recovery of illicit merchandise with an estimated value of approximately one lakh rupees from various locations.

According to police reports, these contraband items, associated with customs evasion activities, were apprehended at two distinct sites within the district. The first seizure occurred in front of the electricity office in Bhimdatta Municipality-10, Gaddachouki, while the second took place in Vaishakha, Belauri Municipality-1.

In Gaddachouki, the recovered goods include oil valued at around Rs 32,000 rupees, whereas in Vaishakha, the seized items consist of ladies' suits, popular sarees, bangles, and beverages with an estimated combined worth of Rs 73,000. The police patrol team conducted this operation on a Monday evening, promptly taking these illicit goods into their custody.
