Pregnant teen rescued by Nepal army helicopter in Bajura

Dhangadhi: A pregnant woman from Bajura has been rescued by a Nepal Army helicopter and airlifted to Surkhet for medical treatment.
Seventeen-year-old Junita Thapa, a resident of Himali Rural Municipality, was taken to Karnali Province Hospital on Tuesday following a car accident. According to the Nepal Army, Junita sustained a broken arm and serious head injuries in the accident, which occurred while she was returning home from Kolti after completing her Class 12 examination. She is currently seven months pregnant.

The rescue operation was conducted under the President's Women Upliftment Program, operated by the Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizens.
