Dhangadhi: The sporting prowess of Nadinas Academy students shone brightly on the international stage as they achieved remarkable standings in the recently concluded second Asia Pacific Chalkball Championship held in Taiwan. Representing the school with distinction, the students clinched both second and fourth positions in this prestigious competition.
The 2nd Asia Pacific Beach Chalkball Championship took place in Taipei, the capital city of Taiwan, from August 18th. The female team from Nadinas Academy exhibited exceptional skills, earning them a well-deserved second place, while the male team secured an admirable fourth place among the competitive field.
A spirited squad of twelve under-15 players, guided by the leadership of Principal Instruction and Team Manager Mahesh Bishta, journeyed to Taiwan to partake in the championship hosted in Taipei. Bishta expressed his satisfaction with the outstanding performance of his students, emphasizing the championship's significance as it brought together nine participating countries, including Nepal, India, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Singapore.
The exposure garnered by the players through their participation on the international platform is expected to contribute to the enhancement of their skills and the overall growth of the sport in the days ahead. Following the conclusion of the championship on Sunday, the students are set to return home after a brief stopover in Singapore, during which they will visit a school and sports academy in Taipei.
The accomplished team, composed of Rojan Shahi, Anish Khadka, Karnaveer Bista, Mohammad Ois Alam, Pratik Singh, Satwik Thakur, Prince SK, Varsha Bista, Nirmala Bhatta, Divya Nepali, Smarika Sijapati, and Nistha Bhatta, represented Nadinas School with distinction as they actively participated in the three-day international championship that commenced on Friday.
