Four arrested for trying to kidnap a child in Kanchanpur

Kanchanpur: Four people have been arrested for trying to steal a child in Kanchanpur. The police arrested 4 people for trying to steal a child in Shuklaphanta municipality-8 of the district.

Deputy Superintendent of Police of the District Police Office Chakra Bahadur Shah said that those arrested are Anil Kumar Shah, 28, who hails from Rautahat and lives in Attariya, Kailali, Pintu Shah, 33, from Bihar, Rajkishore Shah, 25, and Vikas Kumar Shah, 27.

"The villagers have been surrounding the four people saying that they were trying to kidnap a child. After informing us, we have taken them under custody," he said. The police have started an investigation against the arrested. Locals said that when they tried to take the six-year-old boy of Shuklaphanta-8 towards Lalife forest with sweets, the four were surrounded and taken under custody.
