Dr. Govind KC to start Satyagraha in Geta

Dhangadhi: Prof. Dr. Govind KC has reached Dhangadhi. He has come to Dhangadhi for the 20th Satyagraha from 5 pm today.

After reaching Dhangadhi, Dr. KC is looking for a suitable place to sit on Satyagraha. He is looking for a safe place to hold satyagraha in the Dhangadhi area. However, sources close to him have said that he is preparing to hold a satyagraha in Geta area.

He came down to Dhangadhi at 12:30 today. He said that although he gave an ultimatum to the government for two weeks (August 28) to fulfill his demand, there was no response.

“I awaited demands or negotiation on behalf of the government until yesterday but, since there was no response from the government, I have come to Dhangadhi for Satyagraha.''Dr. KC said, "Deuba asked for time until today, but now he has not responded, so I will sit on hunger strike in Dhangadhi." KC has submitted his demands and solution plan to the government.

These are the demands

For the improvement of health services;  all government hospitals in the country, which have more beds and equipment than the prescribed capacity, should immediately be made legal. The capacity should be increased according to the current number of beds in the hospitals.

Construction, upgrading, and quality improvement of government health centers and hospitals should be ensured according to population growth.

Since the constitution ensures free basic health care for all, it should be prohibited to charge fees for basic health services including tickets, lab tests, and x-rays in government hospitals.

It should be ensured that all the free medicines as per the list prescribed by the government are available in all the health institutions.

Arrangements should be made to invest at least half of the local body's budget in the health and education sector.

A large number of permanent doctors and health workers should be appointed to provide sustainable health services across the country.
