About 1 lakh stolen from a bank account in Bajhang

Dhangadhi: A customer's money has been stolen from Nepal Bank Bajhang. The money was stolen from the account of Sanghe Sherpa, who has a house in Bhojpur and is currently living in Chainpur, the headquarters of Bajhang.

He said that Rs. 98,000 was stolen from his account. According to Sherpa, he took a new check from the bank on December 14 of last year after the check expired. However, he said that he had left the old check. However, today he found out that the amount was stolen when he tried to withdraw the amount by checking his account.

According to the bank administration, it is seen that a person named Anil Rokaya took the payment after forging the old cheque. It is said that work is being done to identify Rokaya through CCTV footage.
