Viral fever patients increases in Kanchanpur

Kanchanpur: There has been an increase in the number of patients reaching health institutions with problems such as fever, headache and runny nose.

According to Leelakant Jha, head of Dehatbhuli Health post of Laljhadi Rural Municipality, the number of patients who come to the Health post daily with viral fever is 30 to 35 people. According to the health post, the health workers are examining the patients and providing medication accordingly.

"More than half of the fever patients who reach the health center have symptoms similar to covid. It has not been possible to isolate such patients. That is why the number of patients who come with symptoms of fever has increased." He informs that the infection is on the rise because people who have fever do not use masks.

According to Parmanand Bhatta, head of the health branch of Shuklaphanta municipality, more than half of the 300 patients who come to the health post and basic health center for daily treatment are suffering from the fever. The symptoms of most of these patients are similar to covid.

He said that with the change of weather, viral fever patients have increased. Along with fever, the number of patients is increasing due to typhoid, common cold and contaminated water. According to Ashish Pokhrel, doctor of Dodhara Chandni Primary Health Center, more than 100 patients visit the center daily for treatment. Among them, 70 percent of patients have viral fever.

Doctor Pokhrel informed that along with examination of the patient, they are being requested to drink of boiled water and taking medicine. Even at Mahakali Hospital, more than 60 percent of the patients who come for treatment are suffering from viral fever.
