More than half of the candidates of Baitadi did not submit the details of election expenses

Dhangadhi: More than half of the candidates of Baitadi who have become candidates in the local level elections have not submitted the details of their election expenses. Expenditure details must be submitted within 30 days of the election results. But according to District Election Officer Madhav Prasad Phuyal, more than half of the candidates have not yet submitted their expenditure details.

In the Baitadi local level elections, 1,476 candidates were elected, and the bonds of 284 were confiscated. Phuyal said that 1,092 candidates had to submit their expenditure statements, but only 528 candidates submitted their expenditure statements. He said that the Election Commission will decide on the action to be taken against the candidates who have not declared the election expenses.
