Roads in Darchula blocked at various places

Darchula: Local roads in Darchula have been blocked at various places. The Khalanga-Tinkar road that connects Duhu and Byas Rural Municipality of the district to the headquarters has been blocked in places.

Locals are forced to travel to the headquarter at their own risk due to traffic jams due to road closures. Even walking has become a problem due to the damage to the road due to the flood. Rural roads have been closed due to early monsoon rains. Locals said that many places have been damaged due to floods and landslides on roads and footpaths. Due to the rains, the local residents in this area were forced to face problems to go from the village to the district headquarters, Khalanga.

It is said that the local government has not shown any interest even though it has been asked to them to help clear the roads.
