Congress' Balayer won the mayorship of Doti Shikhar and Rawal won the deputy mayorship

Dhangadhi: Nepali Congress has won the mayorship of Doti's Shikhar Municipality. He won with 6562 votes. His nearest rival Bhim Balayer of the CPN-UML got 4591 votes. Sagar Bhatta of UCPN (Maoist) got 302 votes and Giri Rokaya of RPP got only 42 votes. Sunita Rawal (Jora) of Nepali Congress won the post of deputy mayor with 6426 votes.

His rival Laxmidevi Malla of CPN-UML got 4645 votes while Ramesh Prasad Joshi of CPN-Maoist got only 366 votes. Out of 11 wards of the city, Congress has won in 7 wards and UML has won in 4 wards.
