Tribhuwan army's second victory over Far West

KATHMANDU: The Tribhuwan Army clinched its second victory in the Prime Minister's Cup T20 cricket tournament by defeating Far-Western Province by three wickets. Army, who are second in Group A, have five points from four games.

Vikram Sob's all-rounder for the Army was on the verge of a hard-fought victory over the weak score given by the Far West. In the match played at Mulpani stadium on Friday, Far West had given a target of 116 runs to Army. In reply, Army completed the target by losing 7 wickets in 20 overs.

Batting first after losing the toss, Sudurpaschim were bowled out for 115 in the allotted 20 overs. Khadak Bohora scored 37 runs while Basanta Karki scored 34 runs. Similarly, Arjun Saud scored 15 runs. No other player scored a double run. Bikram Sob had taken 6 wickets for 8 runs in 4 overs while taking Far West cheaply.

Chasing the target of 116 runs, Bikram proved to be the hero for the Army. He helped the team to victory till the end. Sob played an unbeaten innings of 29 off 22 balls.

Apart from him, opener Hari Chauhan scored 33 runs while Bhishma Sarki scored 13 runs. Similarly, Kushal Malla added 11 runs. Sahav Alam remained unbeaten on 12 off 6 balls. Aditya Mahata of Far West took 4 wickets.
