Ward chairman and five govt. employees arrested trying to forge fake citizenship in Bajhang

Dhangadhi: Police have arrested a ward chairman in Bajhang for trying to forge fake citizenship. Police have arrested Gagan Singh, Ward Chairman of Ward No. 1 of Jaya Prithvi Municipality in the district. According to Gyan Bahadur Bista, Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Bajhang, Singh has been arrested on the charge of recommending forged documents.

He said five others, including himself, had been arrested. According to Chief Deputy Superintendent of Police Bista, Ward Secretary Karan BK and Accountant Ajay Bahadur Singh have also been arrested. Similarly, police have arrested Ain Bahadur Singh, headmaster of Narayan Secondary School in the same ward on the charge of forging a certificate.

It is learned that Principal Singh has been arrested for making fake marksit and certificate of class 8 of a student. It has been revealed that Satish, who failed to get SLC in 2068 BS, is trying to get fake certificate by promising to get a job in Nepal Police by making fake marksheet.

He had obtained citizenship for the first time from the district administration office. According to the District Administration Office, Bajhang, a recommendation has been received from the ward to change his name.
