Leopard cub found dead in Baitadi

DR Bhatt, Baitadi: A leopard cub has been found dead in Baitadi. Bodhraj Ojha, a spokesman for the District Police Office, said that a leopard cub found dead on Tuesday morning in Srirashan, village in Dilashani located near the Mahakali Highway.

The leopard cub is assumed to be 6 months old. The police and the Division Forest Office team went to investigate the scene after news broke regarding a leopard cub being found dead.

The dead leopard cub was buried in the premises of the Division Forest Office, said Shyam Sundar Majhi, an assistant forest officer at the Division Forest Office. Police have said that investigations are underway into how the leopard cub died.
