A fine of Rs 1,000 to be imposed for littering Darchula

Dhangadhi: A fine of Rs 1,000 has been imposed for littering in Darchula's Gokuleshwor Bazaar. The municipality has decided to impose a fine of Rs. 1,000 on the person who throws garbage in the market located at Shailyashikhar Municipality-9.

A meeting of locals, people's representatives, police and stakeholders chaired by Mayor Amar Singh Dhami has decided to impose fines for the management of Gokuleshwor Bazaar due to increased pollution.

The municipality has decided to impose fines for disobeying the decision and to deprive such houses, shops and hotels of the services provided by the municipality. The meeting also decided to provide 1/1 dustbin to every house, shop and hotel in Gokuleshwor from the municipality and each consumer should pay Rs. 100/100 - every month for garbage management.
