One arrested in theft case

Kanchanpur: A fugitive accused in a theft case has been arrested in Kanchanpur.

Gobind Pant, a resident of Bhimdatta Municipality, Ward No. 18, who was fined Rs 4,12,900 by the District Court, Kanchanpur, was arrested on Sunday.

According to Kanchanpur Police Spokesperson Amar Bahadur Thapa Chhetri, a police team deployed under the District Police Office, Kanchanpur arrested him while he was hiding in his house.

He said that he was arrested and produced before the district court, which sentenced him to three years, nine months and 11 days in jail.
