Two corona infected die, 160 recover in far west

Dhangadhi: Two people died of corona virus infection in a far-western state on Tuesday.

One person each died in Kailali and Baitadi districts. Similarly, 160 infected people have recovered and returned home.

In the last 24 hours, 141 samples have been tested by PCR in four laboratories in the far-western region and 678 samples have been tested by antigen method across the province.

Tests by both methods have confirmed the infection in 80 people. Of the 63 samples tested at Seti Provincial Hospital, 21 at Mahakali Hospital, 4 at Dadeldhura Hospital, 2 at Datildhura Hospital, 4 at Doti Hospital and 4 at Baitadi Hospital.

The infection has been confirmed by the health director, Doti. So far, 256,221 samples have been tested in the Far West using PCR and antigen methods, confirming the infection in 43,316 people and killing 569 people.
