Bhimdatta Highway reopens after landslide
Dhangadhi: The Bhimdatta Highway connecting seven hilly districts had been blocked due to landslide in Jorayal Rural Municipality-1 of Doti district due to continuous rain.
According to Police Post Gaira, the highway was blocked due to a recent landslide. Hari Prasad, a passenger, said that the landslide had blocked the highway and stopped a dozens of vehicles carrying essential items from Terai to the hills.
However, two dozers were used to clear the road and the highway was reopened by 2:30pm, informed the police.
The highway connects Kailali and Kanchanpur, two districts of the Terai, with seven hilly districts.
