Demonstration in Dhangadhi held by CPN (Maoist) mobs close market and roads

Dhangadhi: The CPN-Prachanda-Nepal party which had declared a nationwide general strike staged a demonstration in Dhangadhi by burning tires and closing stores. 

CPN (Maoist) coordinators and members who had gathered at Campus Chowk in Dhanghadi have been on the road since this morning closing stores  that have opened sporadically wile burning tires to urging people not to drive any vehicles.

The Prachanda-Nepal group declared a general strike in the far-western states against the appointment of office bearers in the constitutional body. The CPN (Maoist) has stated that the general strike has to continue as the rule of law has been challenged in the country by dissolving the House of Representatives and appointing officials without a parliamentary hearing.

Services including market business, educational institutions and public transport services have been severely effected due to the strike
