Chief Minister Shahi injured

Simkot: Chief Minister of Karnali Province, Mahendra Bahadur Shahi has been injured after he fell from the horse he was riding while on his way to Limatang via Torpa, Bargaun of Simkot rural municipality, Ward no 3 today. 

He has sustained minor injury in the fall. He was on his way towards Limatang from the district headquarters, Simkot. The Chief Minister fell down from the horse in the stream between Hudigaun and Limatang.

He had arrived in Humla of Friday in course of observing the development works underway in the district.

The Chief Minister was travelling on a motor vehicle and the local Lama community welcomed him on the way and asked him to ride the horse. The horse felt disturbed and jerked and the Chief Minister fell down, Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) Humla branch president Arjun Bohara said.

The Chief Minister Shahi was rescued on helicopter flown Simkot and he has been brought to the district headquarters. 

Chief Minister Shahi was accompanied by leader of the opposition party in Karnali Province Assembly, Jeevan Bahadur Shahi, Nepal Communist Party (NCP) central member Bijaya Bhandari, Karnali Province government spokesperson Bimala KC, among other leaders and party cadres.-RSS
