People's representatives of Dhangadhi collect Rs 42 lakh 48 thousand as allowance for attending meetings
It has been revealed that the people's representatives of Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolis allegedly collect allowance for attending meetings.
The 57th report of the Auditor General has mentioned that the people's representatives have received 42 lakh 48 thousand as meeting allowance contrary to the provision of Article 4 of the Act 2075 regarding the service facilities for local-level officials and members.
PP no. 103, of the Auditor General's report, states that according to Article 4, the Local Level Officers and Members Convenience Act, 2075 BS, the office bearers and members of the House will get the meeting allowance as mentioned in the schedule if they attend the meeting of the Judicial Committee or any fall committee.
Dhangadhi Sub-metropolis has paid Rs.42 lakh 48 thousand as an allowance for attending ward development meetings, executive meetings, special meetings, assembly meetings, etc. People's representatives have allegedly misused their allowance and facilities, which is against the law.
