Three people test positive for Malaria in Quarantines of Far-West
Malaria has been detected in three people quarantined in Far-West. Three people living in the quarantine of Kanchanpur and Dadeldhura after returning from India have contracted malaria. Siddharaj Bhatta, a person in charge of COVID-19 at the Health Office in Kanchanpur, said, “Two people qurantined at the Bhanu Secondary School in Laljhadi Rural Municipality are suffering from Malaria. Both of them were quarantined after returning from India.”
Hari Prasad Bhatta, the person in charge of COVID-19 at the Health Office, Dadeldhura, said, “A man returned from India two weeks ago after recovering from Malaria. But he is showing symptoms of Malaria again. Meanwhile, the Provincial Health Directorate has issued a circular to the subordinate health office to arrange RDT test for Malaria along with Coronavirus of those living in quarantine. Dr. Guna Raj Awasthi, director of the directorate, has instructed to make arrangements for mandatory testing to prevent the spread of Malaria in Dadeldhura and Kanchanpur by identifying and treating the patients on time.
