Attariya Bus Park to Be Developed as Main Transport Hub of Sudurpaschim

Dhangadhi: An on-site monitoring of the bus park in Attariya, Kailali, has been conducted.

A team including Sudurpaschim Province’s Physical Infrastructure Development Minister Om Bikram Bhat, former minister and CPN-UML leader Lekhraj Bhatt, and Godavari Municipality Mayor Birendra Bhatt monitored the bus park area on Sunday.

During the monitoring, the team gathered information about the muddy conditions, disorganization and lack of infrastructure at the bus park.

Minister Bhat said the provincial government is serious about resolving the problems facing Attariya Bus Park. He committed to taking the initiative to arrange the necessary plans and budget to develop Attariya Bus Park as the main transport hub of the Far West.

“Attariya Bus Park is the center of the Far West,” said Minister Bhat. “We should make necessary plans to solve the problems of mud, disorganization and lack of infrastructure here and move forward with the work. I will take the initiative to ensure the necessary budget on behalf of the provincial government for this.”

He said work would be taken forward in coordination with Godavari Municipality to make the bus park well-organized and equipped with necessary facilities.

Godavari Mayor Birendra Bhatta said that since Attariya Bus Park is an important transport hub in the Far West, its management and upgrading are necessary. He said a concrete plan would be taken forward for the long-term management and infrastructure development of the bus park in collaboration with the provincial government.
