Armed police force to increase anpower at Far-western border posts

Mahendranagar: The Armed Police Force has initiated plans to strengthen manpower at border posts in the Far West.

During the 25th founding day of Armed Police Force No. 7 Baidyanath Bahini, Inspector General Raju Aryal directed that manpower at the Nepal-India border be increased in line with the policy of the Ministry of Home Affairs. He emphasized the importance of national security awareness, stating, “It is the duty of all of us to work together on border security and national security issues and discourage false and misleading information.”

Armed Police Force No. 7 Baidyanath Bahini, Attariya, has announced preparations to increase personnel through seven groups deployed for border security and crime control in Kailali and Kanchanpur districts. Initially, 180 police personnel will be added via these groups and battalions.

Senior Superintendent Digvijay Subedi, Acting Battalion Commander of the Baidyanath Battalion, stated that the Armed Police Force is actively engaged in crime reduction, drug control, curbing illegal activities, and preventing revenue leakage in the border area. He added that regular patrols have been conducted in the region over the past few days.

Currently, 19,691 disaster indicators are associated with the Armed Police Force in nine districts of the Far Western Province, and 265 individuals have been trained as community disaster volunteers.
