Tata unveils BS-6 bus series in Far West, introduces 8- to 12-meter models
Dhangadhi: Sipradi Trading Pvt. Ltd. has unveiled Tata Motors’ new BS-6 bus series for the first time in the Far West, with the aim of expanding modern and environmentally friendly public transportation in Nepal.
The new Tata buses were unveiled at a program held at Saurai Palace in Dhangadhi in the presence of representatives from more than 20 transport organizations and Pvt. Ltd. companies from Sudurpaschim Province, transport entrepreneurs and media persons.
According to the company, BS-6 buses ranging from 8 meters to 12 meters, equipped with normal and dual air suspension technology, were unveiled at the event. The company stated that models ranging from LPO 1618/53 to LPO 1622/62 are suitable and comfortable for long-distance and night services.
More than 1,000 BS-6 vehicles have been sold and are currently operating across Nepal, according to the company. It has also stated that continuous training will be provided to drivers and transport workers to ensure the effective use of the new technology.
Honoring transport entrepreneurs and handing over vehicle keys
During the program, transport associations, federation officials and entrepreneurs from the Far West who have been providing public transportation services through Tata vehicles for a long time were honored with certificates of appreciation. Keys were also handed over to entrepreneurs who purchased new BS-6 buses.
Sipradi Trading Pvt. Ltd. Senior General Managers Anupmani Dhakal and Krishna Chand participated as the president and organizer of the program.
Tekraj Joshi, Sudurpaschim Province Coordinator of the National Federation of Nepal Transport Entrepreneurs; Central Vice President and President of Mahakali Transport Multipurpose Pvt. Ltd. Dambar Raj Panta; and Central Member and President of Sudurpaschim Transport Pvt. Ltd. Padam Raj Sapkota participated as special guests.
Presidents and representatives of various transport associations and Pvt. Ltd. companies were also present. Participants included representatives from Khaptad Transport Pvt. Ltd., Pawandoot Public Transport Service Pvt. Ltd., Pawandoot Transport and Auto Management Pvt. Ltd., Riverside Transport Pvt. Ltd. and Sudurpaschim Mahakali Transport Pvt. Ltd.
Representatives from Ugratara Dadeldhura Public Transport Pvt. Ltd., Shivpuri Transport Pvt. Ltd., Malika Transport Pvt. Ltd., Shaileshwari Transport Pvt. Ltd., Shuklaphanta Transport Pvt. Ltd., Baitadi Transport Pvt. Ltd. and Paschim Star Transport Pvt. Ltd. also participated.
Emphasis on passenger safety and comfort
Speaking at the program, Indramani Pokharel expressed the belief that the introduction of buses equipped with new technology would further contribute to passenger safety, convenience and comfortable travel.
The company also announced special discounts and offers on the occasion of the launch. According to the company, the price of LP 716/45 has been fixed at Rs 51 lakh 20 thousand, while the price of LPO 1622/62 Fara has been fixed at Rs 87 lakh 85 thousand. Buyers have also been provided with a special servicing package for the first year.
The company stated that the new BS-6 buses feature electronic stability control, hill start assist system, engine brake, speed control system, gear change suggestion system, fuel monitoring system, multi-stage clutch, low rolling resistance tires, cable gear shift and a strong straight chassis frame.
The buses also have a one-year service interval, according to the company.
Sipradi Trading Senior General Manager Anupmani Dhakal, Sales and Management Officers Dipendra Chand and Gautam Bhatta were present at the program. The event concluded with the chairman’s speech and lunch.
