Chief Minister Shah urges elected representatives to fulfill election promises
Ghodaghodi: Sudurpaschim Province Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah has said that the people’s representatives of the National Independent Party (RIP) should be ready to implement the promises made during the election.
Speaking at the foundation stone laying ceremony of the new building of Ghodaghodi Community Secondary School, he said that the RIP people’s representatives should put their election commitments into practice while respecting the votes given by the people.
Expressing concern over the increasing trend of youth migrating abroad, he stated that the leaders who were in the position of asking questions in the past have now reached the position of providing answers. He said that the commitments they made should now be translated into action.
Stating that the country is moving towards a stable government, Chief Minister Shah expressed confidence that the nation will now move forward on the path of development and prosperity.
Minister for Social Development Meghraj Khadka, wishing the incoming federal government success, urged it to work in a stable manner for five years. Jagat Joshi, the newly elected MP of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) from Kailali Constituency No. 3, highlighted the need for moral education in the country, stating that social change is not possible without transformation in education.
Ghodaghodi Municipality Mayor Khadak Rawat expressed the view that development of Ghodaghodi would be possible if there is coordination among all three levels of government, adding that the area could be developed as a center of education. Vice-Chairman of the Provincial Policy and Planning Commission Dr. Jeevan Rana expressed his commitment that the commission would continue to support efforts for improving education.
Ghodaghodi Multiple Campus President Laxman Nyure said that the support of the provincial government has significantly contributed to the development of education. Campus Chief Laxmi Prasad Bhattarai, while submitting a memorandum to Chief Minister Shah, expressed gratitude and expected further support.
During the program, Ghodaghodi Community Secondary School President Bishnu Sapkota informed that the school will move forward with a policy of developing it into a model community school by prioritizing technical education.
The building of Ghodaghodi Community Secondary School, being constructed with a budget of about Rs 100 million by the provincial government, is expected to be completed in three phases.
