Dhangadhi: Nepali Communist Party leader and Kailali Constituency No. 5 candidate Prem Bahadur Ale has said that his candidacy is aimed at taking strict action against corruption.

While inaugurating election campaign secretariats in various wards of the constituency on Monday, Ale recalled that he had raised his voice from the Public Accounts Committee to the House, highlighting alleged corruption at the Pokhara and Bhairahawa airports. He stressed that those involved in the cases should be brought to justice.

Former minister Ale said that the current situation has arisen because the state protected the corrupt, claiming that had timely action been taken, the Gen-z movement would not have occurred. He expressed respect for the voices raised by Gen-z youth.

Stating that he had won three consecutive elections from Doti due to his people-oriented work, Ale pledged to continue serving the people.

He said that the road connecting Dhangadhi–Khutia–Bpinagar–Dipayal to Uraibhanjyang remains incomplete and committed to taking initiatives for its upgrading, noting that employment opportunities would increase after the road’s completion.

Ale reiterated his commitment to work for the overall development of the constituency and for youth employment. He also rejected allegations that he is a “tourist candidate,” saying that he has been permanently residing in Dhangadhi for the past 27 years.

As part of intensifying his election campaign, Ale on Monday inaugurated election mobilization secretariats and held preparatory meetings in Kailari Rural Municipality wards 6 and 9, and Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City wards 5, 6, 8, 12 and 16.

Party central members Om Prakash Pun, Dinesh Chandra Subedi, Ramesh Singh Dhami, Sushila Budhathoki, Shanti Nepali, Laxmi Chaudhary, Kalpana Regmi and others were present at the program.
