Ward-level sports competition kicks off in Dhangadhi-15

Dhangadhi: The ward-level sports competition has commenced in Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City-15 from today.

Ward President Sukhdev Rana inaugurated the event, which began on Sunday and is being organized by the Ward-level Sports Steering Committee. The competition includes football and volleyball for men, and kabaddi and tug-of-war for women. Fourteen teams are participating in men's football and 15 teams in men's volleyball.

Similarly, eight teams will compete in women's kabaddi and 14 teams in women's tug-of-war. According to the Ward-level Sports Committee, the winning teams in both men's and women's categories will receive a cash prize of Rs 5,000, while the second-place teams will receive Rs 3,000 along with medals and certificates.

The competition will run from Mangsir 14 to 20.
