Kailali: The University Grants Commission (UGC) is conducting the final phase of monitoring for the Quality Assurance and Accreditation (QAA) certificate at Durgalaxmi Multiple Campus in Attariya, Kailali. On Tuesday, the commission’s PRT team gathered initial information about the campus, and a detailed on-site assessment will continue from Wednesday to Mangsir 13.

PRT Coordinator Prof. Dr. Tirtha Raj Khaniya highlighted that maintaining quality assurance is challenging as standards evolve over time. He noted that the process has advanced because the campus has shown strong interest in QAA, emphasizing that QAA is aimed at long-term improvement, not just certification. He also mentioned notable improvements in various areas, including the campus’s physical infrastructure.

PRT member Ram G. Gautam stated that the campus’s submitted content will be directly observed. He added that achieving QAA reflects good governance and transparency, and meeting the eight required criteria is only the first step, with sustaining them being even more challenging.

Durga Laxmi Campus Head Dr. Narendra Bahadur Air expressed gratitude to the PRT team for their review and physical monitoring. He said the campus, established in 2063 BS, has reached its current standard through significant effort and expressed confidence in meeting QAA requirements.

Currently, the campus has 1,277 undergraduate students and 159 postgraduate students, supported by 32 teachers and 10 staff members. The pass rate details for the 2018-02 teaching session have also been made public.
