Dadeldhura Chamber of Commerce seeks clarification on development budget rumors
Dadeldhura: The Dadeldhura Chamber of Commerce and Industry has called for official clarification regarding rumors that the district’s development budget has been halted. The association submitted a request through the District Administration Office after concerns arose about the federal government’s development budget allocation for the current fiscal year.
In a letter signed by the Chamber’s President, Dwijraj Bhatta, the association requested that the government provide accurate information on whether Dadeldhura’s development budget has indeed been stopped. The petition urged budget-implementing agencies to offer clear guidance to address uncertainties affecting local development.
“The bids for development projects allocated to Dadeldhura by the federal government and published in the Red Book have been issued and are currently under evaluation,” the petition states. “However, it has been reported that the budget for these projects in the bidding phase has been withheld by the current government, directly impacting overall development work in Dadeldhura. We sincerely request the implementing agencies to provide precise information on whether the budget for these projects has been withheld.”
Following the Chamber’s request, Acting Chief District Officer Savitra Pun assured that the necessary details would be collected and shared in coordination with the relevant development agencies.
