Madan Budha meets Prime Minister Karki, receives assurance of representation for Far-west and Karnali

Dhangadhi: Madan Budha of Achham and the Gen-Z of Sudur, who had been on a fast unto death for four days demanding representation of the Far West in the government, met Prime Minister Sushila Karki on Tuesday.

Family members of those injured and martyred during the Zenji movement also held discussions with the Prime Minister during the meeting. Prime Minister Karki assured that ministers from the Far West and Karnali regions will be included in the current interim government.

According to Budha, the Prime Minister also committed to addressing various issues raised during their protest, including providing employment to a family member of each martyr and injured individual based on their qualifications.

Budha had been staging a hunger strike at Maitighar Mandal from Asoj 24 to 28, demanding participation of the Far West region in the interim government.
