Elderly man killed in jeep accident in Darchula

Darchula: A 70-year-old man has died in a jeep accident in Darchula district.

The deceased has been identified as Milan Luhar of Bangabagar, Mahakali Municipality-4. According to the District Police Office, Darchula, Luhar was injured after being hit by a Bolero jeep (registration number Sudurpaschim Province 04-01 Ja 0017) while the vehicle was reversing. The jeep was driven by 38-year-old Kalyan Singh Dhami of Sina, Beas Rural Municipality-3.

Luhar succumbed to his injuries on Sunday while undergoing treatment at the District Hospital, Darchula. Police said that further investigations into the incident are underway.
