Orientation Session Brings Together Youth and Skilled Artisans at Seto Ghar Farm & Resort
Dhangadhi: An interactive orientation session was held at Seto Ghar Farm & Resort, bringing together a blend of youth and skilled artisans.
The session, facilitated under the initiative of Alumni Small Grant (ASG), gathered around eight participants, including artisans engaged in weaving, handicrafts, and traditional art forms. Participants shared their personal stories on how they first learned their skills and discussed the challenges they face in scaling up their businesses.
A key highlight of the session was the introduction of digital platforms and how a strong online presence can transform local businesses. The discussion emphasized how digital tools such as social media and online marketplaces can connect artisans with wider audiences, boost sales, and preserve traditional crafts in the modern economy.
During the reflection session, participants acknowledged that many had been unaware of the potential of digital platforms for growth. They expressed that the program opened their eyes to “the power of digital space” and inspired them to think beyond local markets.
The session concluded with a commitment to further learning. Tomorrow’s follow-up workshop will focus on creating brand stories, capturing product videos, and setting up Facebook pages to help participants share their crafts with the broader community.
