Bajura - July 31, 2024 Continuous heavy rains have caused multiple landslides in Bajura, leading to significant disruptions in road connectivity.

The Sanphe-Martadi road has been blocked by a landslide in Badimalika Municipality-6 Nunepani, adding to the region's transportation challenges. Rabindrasingh Karki, a police inspector at the District Police Office, reported that efforts are underway to clear the blocked road.

A team equipped with machinery from the Road Division Office in Sanphe has reached the landslide site to commence the clearance operations. In addition to the Sanphe-Martadi road blockage, the Martadi-Kolti road has been closed for a month due to rising water levels in the Bauli and Anai rivers and a landslide in Badimalika Municipality-7.

Despite ongoing efforts by the district administration to reopen the road, continuous rainfall has hampered these efforts, prolonging the road closure and affecting the daily lives of residents in the area.
