Student Hospitalized After Being Assaulted by Teacher's Brother in Dhangadhi
Dhangadhi: A student in Dhangadhi, Kailali, was hospitalized after being assaulted by the brother of a teacher.
The victim, identified as 16-year-old Praveen Rana, a 10th-grade student at Janata Secondary School in Dhangadhi sub-metropolis-13, sustained injuries from the attack by Naresh Bhatta's brother. According to Simana Rana, the sister of the injured student, her brother was severely beaten while walking along the road.
She alleged that Praveen was assaulted with a stick by both the teacher and his brother, Chetraj Bhatta. Praveen, who sustained injuries to his leg and chest, was promptly taken to Maya Metro Hospital in Dhangadhi for medical treatment.
In response, teacher Naresh Bhatta downplayed the incident, describing it as a normal dispute that didn't warrant significant attention. "It was my brother who assaulted him, not me. He is not only my student but also our neighbor. We have reached an agreement whereby I will cover the cost of his treatment," stated Bhatta.
A police complaint has been filed regarding the incident, and Bhatta has committed to covering the expenses for Praveen's treatment.
