34 people surrendered their weapons in Bajura

Dhangadhi: 34 people surrendered their weapons in Bajura. The District Administration Office, Bajura, had issued a notice on October 14 asking them to hand over their licensed arms within 35 days.

In order to make the House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly elections to be held on November 4 safe and reliable, the licensed firearms in the district were to be handed over by October 22. However, only 34 people in the district have surrendered their weapons, according to the District Police Office, Bajura.

The police office informed that if people are now found with arms, action will be taken according to the law even if they have a license.
