Dengue patients increases in Darchula
Darchula: From the first week of August, the number of dengue patients has increased sharply in the district. Hospital beds are full due to dengue patients.
According to District Hospital Doctor Adarsh Limbu, there have been 28 dengue patients from the first week of August to the 22nd. Dengue was found in two people in May. Dengue, which was seen in three people in July, has now come and hospital beds are full. Most of the patients who come to the hospital now have symptoms of dengue.
Due to dengue patients, other patients coming to the hospital cannot be admitted. Limbu said, "There is a problem of where to keep other patients. Currently, although there is no problem with dengue testing kits, there is a problem with beds."
Dengue is a viral fever transmitted by the bite of a female Aedes (Aegypti) mosquito. The mosquito is active only during the afternoon. The symptoms of high fever, stomach ache, vomiting, stomach ache and cramping are seen in patients Dr. Limbu says.
Problems with treatment of prisoners
Dengue has been found among the inmates of the district jail. Dengue was found in prisoners who showed symptoms of fever. According to the district hospital, dengue has been found in seven people of the prison so far.
Jailer Ramraj Pant said that there was a problem in the treatment of the prisoners as there were more dengue patients in the prison. The district hospital is also crowded with patients. He said that correspondence is being made for the treatment of prisoners inside the prison. Currently, there are 57 inmates and 14 prisoners in the jail. He said, "Efforts are being made to control dengue inside the prison."
