Around 400 houses in Kailali flooded due to one night's rain

Dhangadhi: Around 400 houses have been flooded in Kailali. Due to last night's rain, various rivers have flooded more than 380 houses across the district. Bhajani municipality has been affected the most. According to Khim Panadi, Disaster Resource Person of Bhajani Municipality, about 327 houses were submerged in the municipality due to the flooding of Kanda, Pathraiya and Mohana rivers.
According to him, around 200 houses have been submerged in Ward No. 8 alone. Similarly, more than one hundred houses in Ward No. 2 and some houses in Ward No. 3 have been submerged. It is reported that water has entered the houses and food and grains are wet. Similarly, more than 50 houses in Badka Basanta, Chatakpur Basanta and Bhuiyanphanta of Kailari rural municipality-7 were submerged due to the flooding of Kataini river, Ward President Dipendra Bam informed.
