Ticket have been mandatory in public transports of Baitadi
Dhangadhi: In Baitadi, passengers have to be given a ticket even for short distance rides. In a meeting organized by the District Administration Office on Thursday, it was decided that from August 31st (Bhadra 15th), all transport vehicles must carry passengers only after collecting tickets.
It is said that this decision was taken after complaints were received that the transport operators were charging more than the specified fare without giving a ticket for the vehicles operating within the district. Chief District Officer Suresh Panthi said that after receiving complaints that jeeps were charging more than the prescribed fare, mandatory tickets were arranged and it will be monitored. It is said that action will be taken against vehicles carrying passengers without tickets.
