816 candidates of Dadeldhura have not submitted their election expenses

Dadeldhura: Most of the candidates in Dadeldhura have not submitted their expenditure details even after 3 months of local elections.

According to the District Election Office, Dadeldhura, 1,35 people had given their candidature in the local level elections in the district. But among them, only 219 people have submitted their election expenses and the remaining 816 people have not submitted their expenses details, according to the office.

There is a legal provision that the candidate must submit the reimbursement of the expenses bill within 30 days from the date of publication of the final result of the election. But those who have become candidates in the district are reluctant to submit their expenditure details.

The Election Commission Act provides for a fine of Rs. 5 lakh if ​​the candidate does not disclose the expenditure details. There is also a legal provision in the law that if you do not pay the fine for 6 months, you cannot be a candidate for 6 years.
