Extreme heat in Dhangadhi, school can be closed for 5 days

Dhangadhi: Schools in Dhangadhi of Kailali have been closed due to extreme heat. Some schools have given leave due to hot weather in the last few days.

Meanwhile, Dhangadhi sub-metropolitan city Mayor Gopal Hamal said that the school could give leave for five more days in addition to monsoon leave and winter leave. Stating that the provision is in Article 85 of paragraph 15 of the Education Regulation-2059 BS through social media, he said that the school itself can give 5 days leave.

It is also said that the school leave could not be announced as no school has officially asked for leave. Mayor Hamal said that if the school requests the sub-metropolitan government to take additional leave after five days if the heat continues to increase day by day, the leave can be matched with the winter leave and monsoon leave.
