Free health care with specialist doctors in every ward of Dhangadhi
Dhangadhi: Free health services including specialist doctors will be provided in every ward of Dhangadhi sub-metropolis. According to Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan Mayor Gopal Hamalal, health services will be provided in every ward from the beginning of the next fiscal year 2079/80 BS.
The health branch of the sub-metropolis is going to provide health services including doctors one day a month in all 19 wards of the sub-metropolis by making a monthly calendar. For that, the sub-metropolitan city will have equipment, medicine and means of transportation, while the Bhatbhateni supermarket operating in Dhangadhi will provide money to hire specialist doctors on contract basis.
Mayor Gopal Hamal said that the vehicle of former mayor Nrip Bahadur Wad would be handed over to the health department. The vehicle will be used to run health camps in each ward. Bhatbhateni's chairman Min Bahadur Gurung has said that he will pay for the services including monthly salary and allowance for a physician and a gynecologist for five years.
While signing an agreement with Dhangadhi Sub-metropolis on Wednesday, he said that he would provide money for doctors for up to 50 years. He also informed that his organization has given scholarships to two students from far west for health education up to MBBS.
